West Coast Speaks is a BC-registered non-profit society on a mission to break down the barriers
of social isolation and loneliness. Backed by research and driven by heart, we create bold,
meaningful opportunities for connection through conversation.

We’re a small team of three different personalities united in one big idea: that connection
starts with a conversation. Through social movements, grassroots initiatives, and simple but
powerful acts of connection, West Coast Speaks is shifting the way people interact in their
everyday lives. Our work encourages people of all ages and backgrounds to reach out, start
conversations and help build a culture where we all can feel seen, valued, and heard.

Because one conversation can change everything.

We acknowledge with gratitude that we live, work, and gather on the traditional, and ancestral, territories of the lək̓ʷəŋən (Lekwungen) Peoples, known today as the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations.

We also recognize the ongoing relationships with the W̱SÁNEĆ Peoples, whose historic connections to this land remain strong and deeply rooted.

As settlers and guests on these lands, we commit to listening, learning, and taking meaningful steps toward reconciliation, while honouring the enduring presence, wisdom, and resilience of the Indigenous Peoples who have cared for these lands since time immemorial.
